Vietnamese citizens repatriated from Malaysia

(VOVWORLD) - 240 Vietnamese citizens were repatriated from Malaysia on Monday on a Bamboo Airlines flight.

Passengers included pregnant women, persons with health problems, children under 18, workers with expired labor contracts, and other disadvantaged cases. The Vietnamese Embassy sent its staff to the airport to assist with boarding procedures.

COVID-19 prevention measures were followed during the flight. Upon arrival at Cam Ranh airport in Khanh Hoa province, the crew and all passengers were given medical exams and quarantined in compliance with regulations.

Vietnam had recorded no new COVID-19 cases as of Tuesday, marking 13 straight days with no domestic transmissions, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

Of 1,063 infected individuals, 926 have fully recovered, and 35 have died.
