Vietnamese army ready for Victory Day parade in Moscow

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnamese officers and soldiers who will take part in the May 9 Victory Day parade in Moscow must demonstrate nobility and live up to the name “Uncle Ho’s soldiers”, Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, said on Wednesday.

After 68 soldiers from the Vietnam People’s Army conducted a dress rehearsal on Wednesday for the military parade in Red Square to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War Victory, Lieutenant General Ngoc commended their preparation effort.

"We have great trust in our delegation heads, instructors, catering officers, and our soldiers who will join the parade on May 9 in Red Square. We want you to work as a team, keep up the good work, train hard, and deliver a performance that will live up to the heroic traditions of the Vietnam People’s Army,” Ngoc sai.
