(VOVworld) - A fashion show of Ao dai, Vietnamese traditional dress, was a highlight of the 2014 Hue Festival held in Hue’s Ngo Mon Square on Monday. Entitled “The world in Vietnam’s Ao dai”, the event sent a message of friendship to international friends. The show made a deep impression on audiences as 100 models took to the stage to present 600 designs by 18 designers from all around Vietnam with the main patterns characterized by the Hue Royal Court. Using their own creativity, the designers created beautiful images of the Vietnamese traditional costume and showed the aesthetic sensibilities of the Vietnamese people. The same day, the first International Dance Festival opened in Hue with the participation of 24 art troupes from around the world. The event gave local dancers an opportunity for to share their experience with foreign peers and fuel their creativity in the field.
