(VOVworld) – A friendly match between the UK’s Arsenal football club and the national Vietnamese squad took place Wednesday at My Dinh National Stadium. This is the most notable activity during Arsenal’s pre-season tour of Vietnam, which was broadcast live on the Voice of Vietnam Radio and Vietnam Television.

Pham Van Khai is an Arsenal fan. Khai said: "It’s is still unbelievable for me to meet my idols in person. This feeling stayed with me even when I had already entered the meeting hall and saw the Gunners. No words can describe my happiness at meeting my idols for the first time. I had only ever seen them before on the TV".

Arsenal players on Tuesday visited Tran Quoc pagoda in Hanoi. They were greeted by the Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nha and heard about the Tran Quoc pagoda’s 1,500-year history.
