This success has been recognized and applauded by the international community. The 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam was an important step in a transition to a new generation of leadership, which will steer Vietnam toward prosperity and a larger role in solving regional and global issues. The Congress set strategic goals until 2030, when the Communist Party of Vietnam will celebrate its 100th founding anniversary, and economic development orientations until 2045, when Vietnam will celebrate its 100th anniversary.

General Secretary of the Italian Communist Party Mauro Alboresi praised the success of the Congress and said the Italian Communist Party considers Vietnam a model of the international communist movement. Vietnam’s foreign policy promotes relations based on respect for law, peaceful resolution of disputes, cooperation, and solidarity between countries and peoples, Alboresi said.
India's ambassador to Vietnam Pranay Verma told VOV that Vietnam's success against the pandemic and the Communist Party of Vietnam's long-term strategy will make Vietnam a developed, high-income country by 2045. India is ready to strengthen its partnership with Vietnam, he said.
