UNITAD’s activities have contributed to the stability of Iraq, said Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy, head of the Vietnamese mission to the UN.

Quy urged UNITAD to focus on strategic priorities, protect witnesses and ISIS victims, and coordinate with the Iraqi government to ensure Iraq’s sovereignty and jurisdiction over crimes that occur in its territory.

He also said Vietnam joins the other security council members in supporting UNITAD’s mission.
