China remains the largest source of international arrivals, with 2.36 million visitors, accounting for nearly 26% of the total. Other key markets include Taiwan (China), the United States, Japan, Cambodia, India, Australia, and Malaysia.

Notably, Russia re-entered the top 10 international markets, with 210,000 visitors in the first five months, up more than 121%, making it the leading European market for Vietnam. Significant growth was also recorded from China (+47.2%) and Japan (+18.3%), reflecting the success of Vietnam's efforts to restore flight routes, ease visa policies, and enhance promotional activities.

Markets benefiting from unilateral visa exemptions by Vietnam also showed strong growth, including the United Kingdom (+19.5%), France (+19.8%), Germany (+16.1%), Italy (+24.7%), Spain (+10.3%), Denmark (+10.9%), Sweden (+15.1%), and Norway (+14.3%)

The Vietnamese tourism sector is actively expanding its promotional efforts both domestically and internationally.

Throughout June, the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism will host promotional programs in Poland, the Czech Republic, and Germany to further tap into the European market.

Vietnam aims to welcome 22–23 million foreign arrivals this year.
