Tourism revenue in the January-September period is estimated at 1.84 billion USD, up 16.7% from last year.
South Korea remained Vietnam's largest market in the reviewed period with 3.3 million visits, followed by China. The two countries contributed nearly half of the total number of foreign visitors to Vietnam. Also in the top 10 markets were Australia, India, Cambodia, and Thailand.
The Vietnam National Authority of Tourism says most of Vietnam’s foreign tourist markets have completely recovered or even increased sharply since the COVID-19 outbreak. The tourism industry aims to welcome 17-18 million foreign visitors this year.
