Nguyen Van Phuc, Director of the Tourism Department of Thua Thien-Hue province said: "On the early days of the New Year, we organized a ceremony to welcome first visitors by air. The Hue Monument Conservation Center cooperated with the local tourism sector to receive visitors. We hope to promote an image of friendliness and strong efforts of the local tourism sector, businesses, and the community."

On the first day of 2023, 30 Mongolian and 4 South Korean were the first foreigners to visit Hoi An World Cultural Heritage Site in Quang Nam province. The tourists visited Hoi An communal house, Duc An ancient house, Guangdong Inn, and Bridge Pagoda relic site and attended a tea culture event.
Nguyen Van Lanh, Vice Chairman of the Hoi An municipal People’s Committee, said Hoi An aims to promote green tourism and recover the local tourism this year.
Mr. Lanh said: "We will improve our tourism products to meet tourists’ demand. We want to expand the local tourism space beyond Hoi An ancient town and coastal tourism by focusing more on waterway tours and tours of farms and fields."

More than 120 foreign visitors from Incheon, South Korea and 215 from Almaty, Kazakhstan landed on Khanh Hoa province on Sunday. They were greeted with flowers, gifts, folk music and lion dance performances.
Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, said: "We organized a ceremony to welcome the foreign visitors to show our hospitality. We want to bring the best experience to the visitors and also to promote the local tourism image."
The same day, Da Nang, Quang Binh, Lao Cai, and HCM City organized multiple events to greet first foreign arrivals of 2023.
