Vietnam welcomes 1.87 million international arrivals since reopening

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam welcomed more than 1.87 million international arrivals and 86.8 million domestic tourists, earning a total revenue of 16.5 billion USD since fully opening up to international tourism on March 15th this year.

Ha Van Sieu, Deputy Director General of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, gave the information at the fifth Conference of the Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy and the sixth meeting between Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam in Cambodia on Wednesday.

Vietnam has been recognized by the World Tourism Organization as the first Southeast Asian country to completely remove COVID-19 travel barriers.
