At a reception on Thursday, Mr. Trong acknowledged the Ambassador’s contributions to the practical and effective development of the Vietnam-US Comprehensive Partnership which he said should grow further.

Ambassador Kritenbrink lauded Vietnam’s dynamic development and increasing international status and its active contribution to regional and global issues. He said he believed that with strategic, capable, and practical leaders, Vietnam will grow further. He expressed his optimism about further development of bilateral ties and promised to continue to support the Vietnam-US ties in his new post.
