(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam and the US have agreed to accelerate negotiations on a reciprocal trade agreement, aiming for a breakthrough in the upcoming technical round scheduled for the first half of this month.

During talks in France on Wednesday, Vietnamese Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien and US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer reviewed the latest round of technical-level discussions and outlined ways to reach a high-quality, mutually beneficial outcome in the next round.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to close coordination and signaled readiness to hold more ministerial-level talks to fast-track progress.
