Czech leaders affirmed that Vietnam is the Czech's most important partner in Southeast Asia. They praised Vietnam's growing international status.
The two sides agreed to effectively take advantage of the opportunities of the EVFTA, create favorable conditions to increase exports, strengthen the performance of the Intergovernmental Committee on Economic Cooperation between Vietnam and the Czech Republic and create favorable conditions for businesses.
The Czech government affirmed its support for the EU to soon remove the IUU yellow card for seafood exports from Vietnam.
Regarding the East Sea issue, the two sides shared their stance in favor of settling disputes by peaceful means on the basis of international law and the United Nations Charter, and respecting the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea. (UNCLOS).
