Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Pham Quang Hieu said that through 28 times of organization, the Future of Asia Conference, chaired by Japan’s Nikkei Corporation, has affirmed its role as an important and prestigious annual dialogue channel to share and solve common regional and global problems, gathering many senior leaders, scholars, media and large corporations in Asia.
Vietnam began attending the 15th forum in 2009 and has since then sent high-level delegations to this event. Joining the forum not only allows Vietnam to promptly grasp new changes and development directions, but also provides an opportunity for the country to widely share its development mindset, governance and contributions to addressing shared regional and global problems.
At this year's Future of Asia Conference, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai's attendance, speeches and exchange of opinions will continue to convey a strong message about Vietnam's image as a trusted partner, an active and responsible member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the region and the international community, who is ready to contribute to peace, stability and development.
It reaffirms the Vietnamese Government's commitment to ensuring a favorable investment and business environment and a safe destination for corporations in an increasingly uncertain world as the theme of the forum suggests.
