The program aims to deliver 1 million computers to students in poor and near-poor households nationwide and ensure internet service to more than 280 points with no internet connection in localities that have imposed social distancing regulations, and to more than 1,900 other places.
Prime Minister Chinh said that one of the Government’s key tasks is to return to a new normal according to the plan of safe adaptation to the epidemic, including the opening of safe schools.

“The Party and State understand and sympathize with families who are having trouble adapting to online learning during the pandemic. Many localities have been undergoing prolonged social distancing, and people's lives and mental health have been severely affected. The Government is developing immediate and long-term solutions to safely adapt to the pandemic and realize the goal of safely reopening schools,” said Mr. Chinh.
At the ceremony, over 1 million computers and more than 130 million USD worth of mobile internet services were donated to the program.
