(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese ASEAN Pretoria Committee (APC)’s chairman in South Africa, Le Huy Hoang, hosted the first 2014 meeting with 7 ASEAN ambassadors to South Africa on Wednesday.

Hoang said ASEAN’s embassies, including Vietnam’s, will focus on promoting the ASEAN community’s image and its potential in investment, trade, and tourism to South African partners. The APC will have exchanges with South African leaders on the trade and investment policies between ASEAN and South Africa. The APC will co-operate with South African research units to organise seminars and conferences on South Africa and Africa. It is expected that ASEAN countries will co-operate with South Africa in sports, culture, and products during Vietnam’s chairmanship.
