In an interview with VOV’s correspondent in Thailand, Mr. Hung said that Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra's visit to Vietnam from May 15–16 will reaffirm the commitment to strengthening cooperation on the foundation of the Strategic Partnership.
It also demonstrates both countries' determination to elevate bilateral ties to a new level, opening up broader and more substantive opportunities for cooperation.
“During the visit, the two sides will hold the 4th Joint Cabinet Meeting, a special mechanism reflecting the high level of determination to further develop bilateral ties. Co-chaired by the two Prime Ministers, the two sides will review and resolve current issues and set directions for cooperation across all areas, particularly strengthening political trust, and promoting delegation exchanges at the Party, Government, National Assembly, and local levels,” Mr Hung said.
The two countries will also work closely at regional and international forums, especially within ASEAN and Mekong sub-regional mechanisms.
