During a visit to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Van Hoang, former Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, at his home on Sunday, Mr. Nhan said the city will adopt more programs on high quality human resource development to meet international integration needs. Mr. Hoang said: “I am very happy that we observe the Vietnam Teachers’ Day to remember the merit of teachers. Many of my students visit me on this day and I feel very moved. This is also an opportunity to meet my former students. They all respect their teacher no matter what position they hold.”
In Hanoi, on Sunday, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam attended a ceremony to mark the 35th Vietnam Teachers’ Day and the 40th anniversary of the Post-graduate Training Institute of the National Economics University. He praised the institute’s achievements of training thousands of PhD and MA degree holders, who have contributed to national construction and defense.
