The war veterans associations of Ho Chi Minh City and Vientiane and the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) sponsored the 5-day program, which concluded on Friday.

Doctors performed free surgeries on 70 Lao patients who have long suffered from cataracts.

This is the fourth time in the past eight years the hospital has sent doctors to provide free eye exams and surgeries to those in need in Laos.
