(VOVworld)- Vietnam's Ministry of Science and Technology and the British Embassy signed a memorandum of understanding Thursday on co-operation in the peaceful use of atomic energy.  Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Le Dinh Tien and British Ambassador to Vietnam Antony Stokes were present at the signing ceremony.
Tien highlighted Vietnam’s consistent policy of considering nuclear security and safety its top priority in promoting the peaceful use of nuclear energy. Vietnam aims to expand international cooperation in this field. Deputy Minister Tien also said that the memorandum would be an important framework for the expansion of future co-operation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy between the two ministries of science and technology. Under the framework of the memorandum, the two countries will focus on exchanging scientific and technical information and documentation.
