Deputy Minister of Agricultural and Rural Development Le Quoc Doanh said rice exports will increase to both traditional and new markets this year. He urged localities and enterprises to promote organic and clean agricultural products that are both profitable and environmentally friendly. He asked for efforts to add value and take advantage of tariff preferences offered by current trade agreements.

He called for closer links between farmers, cooperatives, businesses, and local authorities to increase exports and promote Vietnamese rice.

“We must continue to cooperate closely, substantially, and comprehensively with farmers, localities, and cooperatives, to create a value chain to improve productivity and quality, reduce production costs, increase our competitiveness, and fully satisfy the requirements of importers,” Deputy Minister Doanh said.
