At the talks between Vietnamese President To Lam and Russian President Vladimir Putin

They include an agreement on cooperation in tertiary education between the Vietnamese and Russian governments, a cooperation program for the 2024-2025 period between the two Ministries of Justice, and an MoU on Roadmap for implementing the Nuclear Science and Technology Center Project in the territory of Vietnam between the Ministry of Science and Technology and Rosatom Atomic Energy Group.
Speaking at a joint press conference afterward, President To Lam affirmed that the two sides had a very successful meeting.
President Lam said: "Economic cooperation is a cornerstone of the comprehensive strategic partnership. The two sides will effectively hold early negotiations to upgrade the Vietnam-Eurasian Free Trade Agreement and address difficulties caused by fluctuations of the world economy in order to enhance bilateral trade and investment ties. The two countries will improve the efficiency of key projects in energy, oil and gas and create favorable conditions for their businesses to expand their investment and operation in each other’s territories in line with the two countries’ laws and international law. The two agreed to study the expansion of research on new energy sources, clean energy, green transition, and sustainable development."
Russian President Vladimir Putin thanked Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and Vietnamese people for giving the President and the Russian delegation a warm welcome.
He said Russia respects its comprehensive strategic partnership with Vietnam, adding this relationship will continue to grow and to be consistent on the spirit of equality, mutual respect and respect for mutual benefit.
Putin said: "The Vietnamese President and I adopted a Joint Statement supporting the principles of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and Vietnam. In the statement, we determine new directions for cooperation between the two countries in the future. The talks took place in a constructive and substantive atmosphere. The two sides specifically discussed key development directions. We have addressed the most important issues of global and regional affairs. We have also paid much attention to economic and trade cooperation."
President Vladimir Putin hopes that his State visit to Vietnam will contribute to creating important momentum, promoting cooperation in all fields, as well as helping the two sides identify and agree on directions and solutions to further strengthen the traditional friendship between the two countries.
