(VOVworld)- Various cities and provinces have held meetings in response to World Population Day on July 11. In an even in Ho Chi Minh City on Thursday, the municipal health service warns of increasing cases of abortion among adolescent, which has doubled to 4% or some 3,000 cases a year since 2010. The city aims to promote its strategy on adolescent productive health through the equipment of knowledge and skills for the youth with the key message of avoiding adolescent pregnancy. Lam Ha Thu is from the city’s health service: “We will promote communications to young people on knowledge on reproductive healthcare, including programs targeting homosexuals at counseling places. Other priorities are young people living away from home in rented houses.”
