Vietnam has gone 28 days with no new community infections. Of 1,094 total patients, 1,007 have fully recovered. No current COVID-19 patient is in critical condition.

More than 250 Vietnamese citizens were flown home from the Republic of Korea on a flight on Wednesday as a joint effort of competent authorities of both countries.

Passengers onboard the flight were minors under the age of 18, the elderly, pregnant women, and people suffering underlying health illnesses, students without accommodation due to the closure of their dormitories, stranded tourists, guest workers with expired labour contracts, and others facing a number of challenging circumstances.

Upon their arrival at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi, all the crew members and passengers were given medical checkups and put under quarantine in line with regulations on COVID-19 prevention and control.
