The Sepak Takraw women’s team won a gold medal for Vietnam on the third day of the competition. Bui Thi Thu Thao won gold in the women’s long jump event. Le Tu Chinh was the fastest qualifier in the preliminary 60m heat with a time of 7.60s. The Vietnamese kurash wrestlers overtook wrestlers from Iran and Uzbekistan to collect three gold medals, four silver medals, and five bronze medals.
