(VOVworld)-Vietnam becomes the 2nd most happiest country in the world in terms of longevity and happy life based on environmental resources use. This year ranking was released on June 14 by the UK based New Economics Foundation.

The Happy Planet Index (HPI) is an index of human well-being and environmental impact that was introduced by the NEF in July 2006. HPI value is a function of its average subjective life satisfaction, life expectancy at birth, and ecological footprint per capita. Costa Rica ranks the first in this year’s tally while Vietnam jumped from 12^th in 2006 to 5^th in 2009 and 2^nd position in 2012.
