(VOVworld) – Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long, during a visit to the National Hospital of Tropical Disease, asked healthcare centers to increase vigilance and the level of Ebola response.

The inspection team included representatives of the World Health Organization in Vietnam. Although no cases of Ebola have been detected in Vietnam, the National Hospital of Tropical Diseases has established a diagnostic and treatment regimen and developed a prevention plan. The Health Ministry and the World Health Organization will inspect the hospital’s laboratory this week to evaluate its ability to conduct Ebola tests. Vietnam will establish 4 national rapid response teams to cope with any Ebola outbreak.
