(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam puts the people at the center of development policies, supporting vulnerable groups, promoting innovation in education and training, enhancing laborers’ capacity to self-learn and adapt to meet the requirements of the new context, said a Vietnamese diplomat.

Minister Counsellor Nguyen Hoang Nguyen, deputy head of the Permanent Delegation of Vietnam to the UN, on Monday, addressed the 61st session of the UN Commission for Social Development (CSocD61), held in New York.

He reiterated Vietnam’s support for the policy of promoting decent work as well as socio-economic development and solidarity, considering it an important factor contributing to accelerating the completion of the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development.
Vietnam will continue to work closely with international partners to promote workers' rights to decent work, considering this as one of Vietnam's priorities as a member of the UN Human Rights Council for the 2023-2026 tenure, Nguyen said.
