(VOVworld) – The Prime Minister has asked authorities in the Mekong River Delta to inspect and provide timely support for poor people, policy beneficiaries, and ethnic minorities who are badly impacted by saline intrusion. In a direction issued Saturday, the Prime Minister suggested each locality use suitable solutions in response to saline intrusion, including operating irrigation systems, dredging canals, and building salt water dams to mitigate adverse consequences on crops and fisheries.
