Vietnam proposes cooperation priorities in Asia-Pacific

(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam proposed some cooperation goals for Asian-Pacific at the 78th session of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) which concluded in Bangkok, Thailand on Monday.

The proposals included placing people at the center of activities, increasing regional connectivity, ensuring resilient supply chains, promoting digital transformation and the low-carbon growth model, developing the circular economy, and responding to climate change. 

“Vietnam will continue to actively, responsibly and effectively contribute to ESCAP and UN efforts for peace, stability, and sustainable and inclusive development, ensuring that no one is left behind  in the region and the world,” said Mr. Dam.  

Deputy PM Dam also met Under-Secretary-General of the UN and Executive Secretary of ESCAP Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana.
