At a meeting with RoK Ambassador to Vietnam Choi Young Sam in Hanoi on Thursday, the Party leader proposed that the two sides enhance cooperation in defense and security, as well as strengthen the implementation of existing cooperation mechanisms, realizing the action plan to raise bilateral trade to 150 billion USD in a more balanced and sustainable manner by 2030.

Ambassador Choi Young Sam said the new Korean Government continues to view Vietnam as a key partner in its foreign policy strategy in the region. He expressed hope that both sides will further expand economic cooperation, particularly in areas where Korea holds strengths and Vietnam has practical needs.
Ambassador Choi underscored that, amid ongoing geopolitical shifts, the RoK looks forward to working closely with Vietnam to further advance the comprehensive strategic partnership across all sectors.
