PM Chinh said Vietnam consistently adheres to the "One China" policy and stands ready to discuss with China its global initiatives. He suggested that the two sides step up contacts and improve the quality of cooperation across fields like economy, trade, and investment. He asked China to speed up market access for Vietnam's agricultural products and create favorable conditions for Vietnam to open more trade promotion offices in China. He invited Chinese investors to expand high-quality investments in Vietnam, expressing his wish that the two countries will continue to strengthen people-to-people exchanges in order to consolidate a firm basis for the advancement of bilateral ties.
President Xi said China regards Vietnam as a priority in its neighborhood diplomacy and is working to build a community with a shared future with Vietnam, a strategic choice China has made based on the long-term development of bilateral relations. Xi said China is willing to promote the relationship; maintain strategic exchanges; promote high-level contacts; expand the import of Vietnamese goods; and strengthen the connection of railways, roads and border gate infrastructure.
He said the two sides should enrich people-to-people exchanges, enhance mutual understanding between the two peoples-especially the younger generations-and consolidate a social foundation for the development of bilateral relations.
The two sides exchanged views on regional and global issues of shared concern and agreed to jointly control and properly handle disagreements, maintain peace and stability at sea, and create a favorable environment for the development of both countries.
