Vietnam presents medical supplies to Russia, India, Laos

(VOVWORLD) - 70,000 face masks were presented to the Russian security and law-enforcement agencies via the Russian embassy in Vietnam at a Tuesday ceremony in Hanoi.

Konstantin Vnukov, Russian Ambassador to Vietnam, thanked the Ministry of Public Security for the donation, saying that the facemasks will be a great help to Russian security and police officers and soldiers fighting the pandemic in Russia.

100,000 antibacterial cloth masks were delivered to Indian Ambassador Pranay Verma. Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung, who also chairs the Vietnam-India Friendship Association, said at the ceremony in Hanoi on Tuesday: “In such a difficult period, solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and India is being promoted more than ever. To help India fight the current epidemic, the Vietnam-India Friendship Association has called on businesses in the information and communications sector to donate 100,000 antibacterial cloth masks. On this occasion, I would like to thank the Post and Telecommunications Group, the Mobifone Corporation, and the Vietnam Post Corporation for funding transportation of the face masks.”

The same day Minister Hung, who is Deputy President of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association, presented medical supplies to the Lao Embassy in Hanoi to help Lao doctors and nurses who are fighting COVID-19. The supplies include 500 protective suits and 18,500 antibacterial cloth masks.
