As Co-Chair of the OECD’s Southeast Asia Regional Program (SEARP) for 2022–2025, Ms. Hang stressed the need for collaboration amid global uncertainties, with SEARP playing a key role in supporting economic reform, regional integration, and inclusive and sustainable development.
She proposed that SEARP bolster support for regional countries' economic reform and new growth engines like digital transformation, green transition, innovation, and science-technology.
Ms. Hang affirmed Vietnam's commitment to contributing to the partnership between the OECD and Southeast Asia, as well as further elevating Vietnam-OECD relations.
OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann hailed Vietnam's socio-economic development achievements, affirming the organization's support for Vietnam in the new development era.
The participants congratulated Vietnam on its successful fulfillment as the Co-Chair of the OECD Southeast Asia Program amidst numerous global and regional economic challenges.
