(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai received Joachim Von Amsberg, Vice President of the World Bank in Hanoi on Tuesday. Mr. Hai praised the World Bank’s increasingly important role in Vietnam’s socio-economic development.

He thanked Mr. Joachim’s important voice in helping Vietnam to remain on the list of recipients of preferential loans for poor and less developed countries by the International Development Association. Mr. Hai said that Vietnamese agencies are cooperating with the World Bank to effectively use and manage these preferential loans for national development.
