(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam is committed to creating all favorable conditions, in accordance with legal regulations, for French investors in general and Airbus in particular to invest and conduct business effectively and sustainably in Vietnam, Party General Secretary and State President To Lam told Benoit De Saint-Exupery, Executive Vice President Sales of the Commercial Aircraft business at Airbus, on Saturday on the sidelines of the 19th Francophonie Summit in Paris.

At a reception for Airbus Group leaders, General Secretary and President To Lam expressed high regard for Airbus's cooperation and support in helping Vietnam operate its aircraft.

He affirmed that Vietnam welcomes and encourages Airbus to continue investing in its areas of expertise, such as aerospace, and collaborating with Vietnamese partners to research and evaluate aircraft, aiming to select the most suitable models for efficient operation.

The Vietnamese leader suggested that Airbus explore investments in component manufacturing plants and actively contribute to building Vietnam's aviation industrial ecosystem. He also encouraged Airbus to encourage French enterprises and partners to increase investment in Vietnam, support the development of auxiliary industries, and foster innovation through technology transfer, particularly in advanced, green, and clean technologies. Additionally, he urged Airbus to assist Vietnamese businesses in improving their production capacity and competitiveness to participate in the global supply chain.

During a meeting with Philippe Errera, Director of International Development and Government Affairs at Safran Group, and other members of the group, General Secretary and President To Lam expressed his hope that Safran, along with other French companies, would support the growth of Vietnam's space industry.

He suggested that Safran work closely with the Ministry of Science and Technology to detail specific areas of cooperation in the near future.
