Attending the meeting were more than 100 representatives of overseas Vietnamese community in France, representatives of the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Europe, and officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and agencies in France.

At the meeting, Mr. Lam emphasized that Vietnam will concentrate all resources and strive to successfully complete its goals toward a rising era of the Vietnamese nation. This process needs the cooperation, contribution, and solidarity of 6 million overseas Vietnamese.

The General Secretary and President said the Party and State always acknowledge and highly appreciate the contributions of generations of overseas Vietnamese in France and the Association of Vietnamese in France to the country in the struggle for national independence and in the cause of national development and defense.

He appreciated the active role of the Vietnamese Association in France and the Union of Vietnamese Associations in Europe in uniting and supporting overseas Vietnamese, preserving the Vietnamese language and national cultural identity, always promoting the spirit of mutual support with compatriots inside the country whenever they encounter difficulties and hardships.

He said he hopes that the Vietnamese community in France in particular and Europe in general will always promote the spirit of solidarity and national pride, turning towards the homeland, contributing to the development of the country, promoting the good values of the nation, and preserving the Vietnamese language for future generations.
