The display celebrates the heroic tradition of the Vietnam People's Navy since 1955, and documents its victory against the US mining campaign to block rivers and sea routes using torpedoes and conventional bombs.
Since it was established in May 1955, the Vietnam People's Navy has twice been given the title People's Armed Forces Hero, and 79 collectives and 57 individuals have been given the title People's Armed Forces Hero or Hero of Labor. 37,000 officers and soldiers have received orders, medals and other awards.
The exhibit will end next Tuesday.
