Hang told a press briefing on Tuesday that Vietnam has full legal foundation and historical evidence to confirm its sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos. China’s move breaches international law and cannot change Vietnam’s sovereignty over the archipelagos, she said, stressing that Vietnam objects to China’s operation of the cinema and requests the country to not repeat similar actions. Hang also said that Vietnam is deeply concerned over Pyongyang’s repeated tests of intercontinental ballistic missiles, which violate UN Security Council resolutions and fuel tensions in the region. She reiterated Vietnam’s consistent policy of supporting efforts to promote dialogue and maintain peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.
