Vietnam: No Covid-19 community transmissions in 40 days

(VOVWORLD) - Tuesday was Vietnam’s 40th straight day without any new Covid-19 infections by community transmission.

Vietnam’s Covid-19 tally stands at 327, after a returnee from Russia was added on Tuesday. 272 of the total cases have recovered.

Three more patients will be announced to be free of the COVID-19 infection on Wednesday, said Hanoi’s National Hospital of Tropical Diseases.

Vietnamese citizens stranded in Australia by the COVID-19 pandemic will return home on June 1, landing at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh city.

All the arrivals will undergo medical examinations and be quarantined for 14 days. The Vietnamese Embassy and Consulates in Australia have asked Vietnamese authorities and agencies to deploy similar flights in the coming time.
