He said Vietnam recorded no Covid-19 deaths which Indonesia can learn from. He added that Indonesia should apply Vietnam’s measures, particularly self- discipline and community compliance.

The Minister, who is also President of Golkar Party, said if the community strictly follows social distancing principles, the epidemic will soon be controlled.

He cited Vietnam as an example since Vietnamese people closely followed the government’s measures including social distancing, wearing face masks, and avoiding mass gatherings.

Some economic sectors have remained open while cash transactions have been discouraged to avoid direct contact, he said.
