(VOVworld) - Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy and Malta Cao Chinh Thien presented his credentials to Malta President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca on Thursday.

At the follow-up reception, Ambassador Thien briefed President Preca on Vietnam’s socio-economic development, international integration achievements and future development strategies and goals. He asked Malta to provide scholarships to Vietnamese students to develop manpower in service of the two countries’ trade and proposed stepping up the exchange of high-level visits. President Preca said Maltese agencies will support ambassador Thien in implementing future cooperation agreements between the two countries.
