The two leaders emphasized the importance of creating new momentum to deepen their partnership, especially implementing the Action Plan for the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the 2025-2030 period. In that spirit, the two sides agreed to continue to increase delegation exchanges and contacts at all levels through all channels and continue to effectively implement bilateral cooperation mechanisms.

The two Prime Ministers stressed the need to bolster economic, trade and investment cooperation, including facilitating the import and export of potential and strong products of both sides like agricultural and aquatic products, food, electronic components, and construction materials.

They also discussed boosting agricultural and fisheries cooperation, ensuring food security, energy, oil and gas, and power transmission cooperation among ASEAN countries, as well as expanding cooperation in digital, circular, and green economy.

The two sides agreed on long-term cooperation in food security for Malaysia, whereby Vietnam will ensure stable rice exports to Malaysia.

The two leaders also discussed global and regional issues of mutual concern and emphasized the need to work with ASEAN countries for the bloc’s stronger cooperation, solidarity and centrality.
