Addressing a pre-match press conference on Wednesday, Park admitted that Malaysia have improved a lot from the previous meetings between the two sides in the 2018 AFF Cup. Malaysia coach Tan Cheng Hoe spoke highly of Vietnam’s improvement, saying that the Vietnamese team is at its peak and it will be a difficult game when playing away. However, his team will try their best, Tan said.
The Group G match between Vietnam and Malaysia is scheduled to take place at 8pm on Thursday at My Dinh Stadium in Hanoi.
