The Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action was adopted unanimously by 189 countries in 1995 at the Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, China. It aims to address women's concerns and advance their rights by the end of the 20th century. The National Report on 30 Years of Implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action in Vietnam reviews Vietnam's progress in realizing the goals of this landmark text since 1995 till now. The report reaffirms Vietnam's political determination to accelerate the implementation of its international commitments on gender equality, in line with the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
