The workshop confirmed that the rule of independence judiciary is the basic requirement for the fair, consistent, and neutral administration of justice. The participants were introduced to the National Judicial Councils of Canada, Spain, Italy, Russia, Germany, Japan, and the US.
The participants said if Vietnam establishes a national judicial council, it’s important to build a consistent, efficient apparatus without influencing the current operation of the court. They suggested the continuing fine-tuning regulations on the legal status of judicial positions and reforming personnel management.
