General Lam said his ministry will continue comprehensive cooperation with its Lao counterpart to foster the special friendship and comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and Laos.

Thongloun said he hopes the two ministries will continue their effective cooperation to nurture ties between the two Parties, States, and peoples of Laos and Vietnam.

The two ministries agreed to expand their sharing of information between now and the end of the year; ensure political, economic, and cultural security; and fight trans-national crimes, including drug trafficking, human trafficking, and cyber crimes.
