(VOVworld) – Vietnam will introduce its most typical dishes at the 2015 ASEAN Food Festival that opened in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on Saturday.

The festival aims to give an opportunity to all ASEAN member countries to display distinctive characteristics of their food to international friends.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Deputy PM and Minster of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Hor Nam Hong said the event symbolizes the target of a single united but diversified ASEAN.

The festival also helps to improve the understanding in cuisine, culture, land, and people among ASEAN members.

Apart from traditional dishes, there will be art performances characterized by ASEAN member countries.
