(VOVworld) – Vietnam is ready for APEC Year 2017 and will actively contribute to APEC cooperation. Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son told the press that Vietnam considered the APEC Year in 2017 is one of the top priorities in Vietnam’s diplomatic policies until 2020.

He said hosting the APEC Year reflects international community’s trust in Vietnam and as it has been hosting the event twice since 2006. Under the theme of “Creating new driving force for a common future”, APEC 2017 has 200 activities to take place in 10 Vietnamese cities and provinces, including the APEC Summit Week in Da Nang this November. Deputy Minister Bui Thanh Son said Vietnam is ready to host the event with an established website officially dedicated to APEC activites. He believed that the event will be a success thanks to active direction from leaders and provincial participation.
