Ms. Thinh said India is one of Vietnam’s 10 biggest trade partners, while Vietnam is one of India’s top partners under its Act East policy.
Sengupta, who is in Vietnam to attend the 10th Vietnam-India People’s Friendship Festival, said India has always valued its relations with Vietnam. He said he hopes the two countries will increase people-to-people exchanges in the months ahead in order to enhance solidarity and equality, and create favourable conditions for cultural and social development.
